Managing inventory efficiently often involves creating batches for your products, especially for items that have expiry dates. FF Inventory makes this process straightforward. Here’s a guide on how to create batches and add expiry dates to your products:

  1. Access Product/Service: Begin by clicking on "Product/Service" in the Manage Inventory section of FF Inventory.

  2. Select a Product: Choose the product for which you want to add batches. This step is crucial as batch management is product-specific.

  3. Choose Product Variant: If the product has variants, click on the specific variant you wish to manage in batches.

  4. Enable Batch Tracking:

    • Track Batch Option: Find and select the "Track Batch" checkbox. This action enables batch tracking for the selected product or variant.

    • Update Product: After selecting the checkbox, click on the "Update" button to apply this change.

  5. Confirmation Popup: A popup will appear confirming that the product has been updated successfully.

  6. Return to Product Management: Go back to the product or edit the product again to proceed with batch assignment.

  7. Assign Stock to Batches: Click on the "Assign Available Stock To Batches" button. This step is where you allocate existing stock to specific batches.

  8. Add Batches and Expiry Dates:

    • Create Batches: Enter the details for each batch, including batch numbers or identifiers.

    • Set Expiry Dates: For each batch, add an expiry date as per your requirements. This is particularly important for perishable goods or items with limited shelf life.

    • Save Changes: After adding all necessary information, click on the "Save Changes" button to finalize the batch creation.

  9. Batch Update Confirmation: You will see a confirmation that your batches have been updated successfully.

Creating batches for your products in FF Inventory is a key feature for businesses that require detailed tracking of stock, particularly for items with expiration dates. By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your inventory, ensuring that products are sold or used on time and reducing the risk of wastage. This level of organization is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring product quality.
