What is the cost per item price?

  • The cost per item is how much it costs you for the product or variant. For example, if you resell a product, then you can enter the price that you paid the manufacturer, excluding taxes, shipping, or other costs. Real-life example :- if your are selling a phone cover then actual phone cover price $5 (Manufacture) + Shipping cost $1 = 6$ cost per item price and your selling it on $10 so you make $4 Profit.

Formula= ([price - cost] / price) * 100) Price of item = $10 Manufacturing Cost = $6 total margin = ( ( 10 - 6 ) / 10 ) X 100 ) = 40% your profit (Margin).

Where you can check it in FF Inventory? When you connect FF Inventory to your Shopify, then FF Inventory also stores your cost per item price in the respective field automatically.

You can enable "Pull Product Cost Per Item" while doing the integration process with Shopify.

You can check "Cost per unit", in the details of the products.
