How to Setup ShipStation?

Learn how to connect your FF Inventory account with ShipStation.

In FF Inventory, you can use ShipStation for the shipment of your orders.

Note: To use ShipStation with your FF Inventory account, ensure that you have entered the valid information in the mandatory fields for your company profile.

The Mandatory fields are -

1. Contact details – A valid Contact number and Email for your company

2. Addresses – An actual address with a valid Pin code and State.

3. Warehouses - An actual address for the warehouse.

4. Customer details - Valid contact details and actual addresses for the customer.

Follow the steps below to learn how to connect your FF Inventory account with ShipStation.

Step 1: Select "Apps" from the navigation bar.

Step 2: Select the "Shipping" tab and click the "ShipStation" option.

Step 3: Click on the "Add Account +" button.

Step 4: Enter your API key & Secret Key provided by ShipStation, and click the "Connect" button.

Note:

To get your API key and Secret Key, log in to your ShipStation account. Go to Settings >> Account and click the "API Settings" option.

Scroll down to the API Keys section. Here you can get your API key and API Secret key.

Step 5: You have successfully connected your FF Inventory account to ShipStation. Confirm your credentials and click on the "Next" button to continue the onboarding process.

Step 6: All the warehouse and location data in your ShipStation account will be listed here. You can manage the warehouse settings here or create a new warehouse using the "Create Warehouse" button. Click on "Finish" to complete the onboarding.

Step 7: You can update your warehouse settings using the "Manage your ShipStation Connection" button.

Follow the steps below to learn how to use ShipStation to add the shipment of your order.

Step 1: Go to Manage Sales >> Packages and click on the package for which you want to add a shipment.

Step 2: Select the Shipping channel as ShipStation.

Step 3: Select the Carrier for your shipment and enter the Received date.

Step 4: Ensure that you enter the correct Dimensions of your package.

Step 5: Enter the Package name. Select the Package type and Package service from the given options.

Step 6: Select the Order type and Category according to your products.

Step 7: You can click on the "Get Rates" button to know the shipping rate as per the dimensions of your package.

Step 8: Complete the process by clicking the "Add Shipment" button.

You can view and manage all your shipments in your ShipStation account

Note: "Create a Test Label" option can be used if you want to test the ShipStation connection with your FF Inventory account. Mark it as checked, and then you can try the shipping process without getting charged (It is only for testing purposes and will not create any real shipment).
